The Heather Cutler Foundation is a Canadian charity headquartered in Newfoundland and Labrador dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for people affected by pancreatic cancer.

We are currently recruiting Event Support Volunteers to assist with upcoming digital and in-person initiatives. Volunteers will work closely with our Director of Events and Outreach to support event coordination, outreach tracking, and operational planning.

This is a flexible, project-based role suitable for students or individuals interested in nonprofit work, public health, communications, or event management.

Responsibilities may include:

• Building and maintaining event and partner contact lists

• Assisting with outreach coordination and tracking

• Supporting social media and promotional materials

• Organizing volunteer availability for events

• Providing support during virtual or in-person events

• Light administrative tracking and coordination

This role typically requires approximately 4–6 hours per week, with short increases around event dates.

The Foundation works to address critical gaps in awareness, healthcare policy, and patient support related to pancreatic cancer. Through collaborations with healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and volunteers, the Foundation develops educational resources, supports public awareness efforts, and contributes to policy conversations aimed at improving outcomes for patients and families.

Volunteers play an important role in supporting our initiatives. Opportunities may include research support, health education initiatives, communications and media work, data analysis, event support, and community outreach.

The Foundation welcomes individuals who are passionate about contributing their skills and time to support pancreatic cancer awareness, research, and patient support initiatives.
