Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada Foundation

The Foundation is committed to assisting Clubs, Regions and the National Office with building their capacity to serve young people. Each year, the Foundation awards grants to Boys and Girls Clubs and Regional offices across Canada and to the national office on an application basis in support of innovative solutions to community needs, new program initiatives, research and strategic planning, and improvements to facilities and equipment

Breakfast Clubs of Canada

A national foundation dedicated to supporting community-based nutrition programs for schoolchildren by raising awareness and funding on their behalf. It is Breakfast Clubs of Canada’s dream that all children will have an equal chance to start their school day with a nutritious breakfast in an environment that promotes self-esteem.

Brian Bronfman Family Foundation

This foundation believes in using its resources to support creative endeavours that have a concrete impact in bettering the lives of individuals and communities, both in reaction to specific situations and by prevention of potential problems. The foundation is focused on the creation of a peaceful, non-violent, and just society and funds programs dealing with peace, human rights, and conflict resolution.

Canada Council for the Arts

The Canada Council for the Arts is a national arms length agency created by the federal government in 1957 to “foster and promote the study and enjoyment of, and the production of works in, the arts.”

Canadian Million Dollar Round Table Charitable Foundation

The Million Dollar Round Table Charitable Foundation Canada is a public charity, incorporated as a non-profit organization in Canada on November 17th, 1994. It receives gifts mainly, but not exclusively, from the members of the Million Dollar Round Table in Canada and from some foreign countries. Applications for grants are accepted anytime during the year. All grant requests are submitted to the Grants Committee for review and classification. The Committee then makes recommendations to the Board of Directors, which must act upon all grant requests. Please note that the MDRT Foundation Canada Grants Committee meets once a year, in the Fall, to review grant proposals and make recommendations. Keeping this in mind, please note that applications received after the stated deadline will be held until the following Fall. Updated documents may be required.

Canadian Multiculturalism Grants and Contribution Program

The program provides funding, normally in the form of grants, to community-based events that foster intercultural or interfaith understanding, civic memory and pride or respect for core democratic values. The primary intention is to create concrete opportunities for interaction among cultural and faith communities. Applications will be considered year-round.

Canadian Race Relations Foundation

1988, the Government of Canada and the National Association of Japanese Canadians signed the Japanese Canadian Redress Agreement. The Agreement acknowledged that the treatment of Japanese Canadians during and after World War II was unjust and violated principles of human rights. Under the terms of the agreement, the federal government also promised to create a Canadian Race Relations Foundation, which would "foster racial harmony and cross-cultural understanding and help to eliminate racism." The federal government proclaimed the Canadian Race Relations Foundation Act into law on October 28, 1996. The Foundation officially opened its doors in November 1997. The Foundation's office is located in the City of Toronto but its activities are national in scope. It operates at arm's length from the federal government, and its employees are not part of the federal public service. The Foundation has registered charitable status. The National Association of Japanese Canadians negotiated a contribution of $12 million on behalf of its community, matched by an equal amount from the Government of Canada, to create a one-time $24 million endowment fund to establish the Foundation.

Canadian Women's Foundation (CWF)

As Canada’s first and only national public Foundation for women and girls, CWF has earned a reputation as an organization that is accessible to grass-roots women’s groups. CWF supports results-oriented solutions to the problems faced by women and girls.

Canon Canada Inc.

Canon Canada has no formal donations policy but the company supports a wide variety of organizations. Funding interests include arts and culture, health and welfare, athletics, education, community services, and the environment.

Carthy Foundation

Established in 1965, the Carthy Foundation is a private Foundation that works to enhance the future prosperity of Canada by creating opportunities with, and providing education for young people.

Catherine Donnelly Foundation

Inspired by the vision of Catherine Donnelly, the Foundation seeks radical and creative ways of responding to the most urgent needs of society in the areas of housing initiatives, adult education initiatives and opportunities and environmental enhancement initiatives.
