You’re in the right place.Results Canada is now accepting applications for its Education and Advocacy Fellowship Program, a 5-month hands-on opportunity to build your leadership, communication, and advocacy skills while generating the political will to end extreme poverty.Open to individuals aged 18 and above across Canada, Fellows engage virtually with peers to deepen their understanding of global health and poverty in low- and middle-income countries, write letters to the editor, raise awareness on social media, and engage with federal decision-makers. Backed by the in-depth research and legislative expertise of Results Canada staff and partners, Results Fellows will realize the incredible power they possess to use their voices.Apply by 11:59 PM (EST) on June 1st for the Summer/Fall cohort!

Results is an advocacy nonprofit that believes in mobilizing everyday people (our volunteers) to generate the political will to end extreme poverty in low-and middle-income countries. We focus our work on global health, access to quality education and economic opportunities. We direct our energy and efforts at government decision makers like party leaders, Members of Parliament and senators because they have the power to improve policies and make the monetary investments needed to end extreme poverty. We also raise awareness by writing letters to the editor (LTEs) and op-eds, using social media, fundraising and more. Oftentimes the first step is putting these issues on the radar — and keeping the pressure on. It might seem like a small step, but it all adds up into impact. commitment: 1 year minimum, 1-2 hours per week on average support structure: Volunteers (virtually) meet in local groups on a monthly basis and rely on their group leader(s) for guidance. Attending other virtual calls and webinars led by Results staff is recommended. FRANÇAIS Nous sommes un organisme de plaidoyer qui mobilise les gens du quotidien (nos bénévoles) pour générer la volonté politique pour mettre fin à l’extrême pauvreté dans les pays à faible et moyen revenu. Nous concentrons notre travail sur la santé mondiale, l’accès à une éducation de qualité et l’inclusion économique. Nous concentrons notre énergie et nos efforts à mobiliser les décideurs et décideuses politiques comme les chef.fe.s de partis, député.es, sénateurs et sénatrices, car ils et elles détiennent le pouvoir d’améliorer les politiques et de faire les investissements requis pour éradiquer l’extrême pauvreté. Nous faisons aussi de la sensibilisation en écrivant des lettres ouvertes aux journaux, en utilisant les médias sociaux, en collectant des fonds et bien plus. Souvent, la première étape est d’attirer l’attention sur ces enjeux et de les faire connaître — et de maintenir la pression. The 2026 St. John's/Mount Pearl MS Walk is taking place Sunday, May 31st at the Reid Community Centre. We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help us bring this event to life! We desperately need route marshals to ensure our walk participants are kept safe on the route. If you can help us with this role, please reach out!As a Route Marshal, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and guidance of participants during the MS Walk. Responsibilities include setting up directional signage along the designated route, alerting participants to potential hazards or route changes, managing traffic flow at intersections, and providing encouragement and support to participants throughout the event. The Heather Cutler Foundation is a Canadian charity headquartered in Newfoundland and Labrador dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for people affected by pancreatic cancer.We are currently recruiting Event Support Volunteers to assist with upcoming digital and in-person initiatives. Volunteers will work closely with our Director of Events and Outreach to support event coordination, outreach tracking, and operational planning.This is a flexible, project-based role suitable for students or individuals interested in nonprofit work, public health, communications, or event management.Responsibilities may include:• Building and maintaining event and partner contact lists• Assisting with outreach coordination and tracking• Supporting social media and promotional materials• Organizing volunteer availability for events• Providing support during virtual or in-person events• Light administrative tracking and coordinationThis role typically requires approximately 4–6 hours per week, with short increases around event dates.
