Opportunity Description:

The Heart&Stroke Canvass is a fundraising campaign that raises funds for research and shares life-saving health information through the help of 90,000 volunteers across the country.  Every 7 minutes, a Canadian dies from heart disease or stroke.  Let’s work together to protect the lives of our neighbours, friends and family.

Volunteer Role: CANVASSER

Location: St. John’s and surrounding areas

Time Commitment:  2-3 hours during the month of February

Responsibilities:

Act as an ambassador for Heart and Stroke by sharing health information and thanking donors
Visit about 25-50 homes in your neighbourhood to ask for and collect donations
Become a virtual online canvasser and ask friends, family and social media contacts for donations
Read and use the materials in your Canvasser Kit
Return your Canvasser Kit and donations in early March
