The program supports risk assessments, fuel management planning, and mitigation activities. Government is launching the Newfoundland and Labrador Community Wildfire Prevention and Mitigation Program and there’s money available for communities looking to develop a plan.

Across the country, The Salvation Army runs Red Cap, a program for children between the ages of eight and 12 that provides participants with tools to understand and manage their emotions, helping prevent bullying.

The 2026 application form will be available from Monday, February 9 to Friday, February 27, 2026, at 2 pm ET. The Canada Post Community Foundation is a registered charity distributing grants to Canadian schools, charities and community organizations that provide programming to children and youth (up to age 21). Every dollar raised goes directly to recipients – Canada Post covers all administrative costs.
