The Arthritis Society (Walk to Fight Arthritis – Registration Coordinator)

Objective: The Registration Coordinator manages all aspects of registration before, during and after the Walk. This includes coordination and preparation of all registration and donation forms to be sent to Data Services following the event, as well as local money handling, ensuring appropriate security measures and training of event day volunteers. Length of Involvement: Minimum four month commitment. Time Required: Attend committee meetings on a bi-weekly basis during event planning cycle. Frequency of meetings may increase in the months leading up to the Walk. Complete required activities between meetings. Attend the Walk. Responsibilities: Work with committee to ensure all items are ordered for pre-registration, event day registration, such as T-shirts, incentive prizes, etc. Develop plan to orientate and train volunteers prior to the event. Provide support to volunteers on event day when handling issues related to registration. Ensure procedures for safe handling of money and security is adhered before, during and after the Walk. Attend all Walk meetings and ensure that all deliverables are complete. Recruit a team of walkers and set an aggressive fundraising goal. Orientation and Training: All committee members will receive an orientation to The Arthritis Society and The Walk to Fight Arthritis. Additional training will be provided as needed.
