FOCUS

Daffodil Site Volunteer (Contactless Donations)

WHY WE NEED YOU

At CCS, fundraising volunteers are vital because the vast majority of our funding comes from donations by everyday Canadians through fundraising activities and events.

Our annual Daffodil Campaign mobilizes Canadians from coast to coast, raising funds for work aimed at helping people live longer and improving the lives and experiences of those affected by cancer.

Daffodil Site Volunteers will be engaging with the public to encourage donations from high-traffic locations through Tip Tap contactless payment devices. Site Volunteers will be scheduled in shifts.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Attend a location during your agreed shift, comfortable working alone

Communicate and raise awareness about the Canadian Cancer Society

Engage with the public with energy and enthusiasm

Encourage contactless donations

COVID protocols will be in place in line with CCS policy

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Great energy and enthusiasm

Team oriented and community-minded

Communicative and works well in public environments

OUR INVESTMENT

Integration where you are part of a team and learn about the work of CCS

Ongoing opportunities to connect in different ways across a national organization operating in communities across Canada

Mentorship and coaching both by you and for you
