Opportunity Description:

Objective: The Team Recruitment and Stewardship Coordinator manage all committee activity aimed at recruiting and recognizing teams of walkers for The Walk to Fight Arthritis. This includes leading the committee in activities to identify team prospects and developing strategies for team recruitment. The Team Recruitment and Stewardship Coordinator is responsible for supporting registered teams ensuring team captains have the tools they need to fundraise successfully. Length of Involvement: Minimum four month commitment. Time Commitment: Attend committee meetings on a bi-weekly basis during event planning cycle. Frequency of meetings may increase in the months leading up to the Walk. Complete required activities between meetings. Attend the Walk. Responsibilities: Work with committee to establish a list of prospective Walk teams. Determine a recruitment plan for each prospective team. Maintain an accurate list of team prospects that includes contact information and contact notes. Report on recruitment activities at each meeting. Work closely with the Walk manager to track registered teams. Create a contact plan for registered teams that involves several contacts before the Walk and at least one post Walk. Be aware of The Walk to Fight Arthritis Key Messages and use them for all communications. Attend all Walk meetings and ensure deliverables are completed. Recruit a team of walkers and set an aggressive fundraising goal. Orientation and Training: All committee members will receive an orientation to The Arthritis Society and The Walk to Fight Arthritis.
