Organization Name: WILD Outside St. John’s (Canadian Wildlife Federation)
Opportunity Title: WILD Outside St. John’s Program Participant
Category: Environmental Improvement
Commitment: Ongoing Opportunity (> 1 year)
Start Date: March 16, 2020
End Date: March 21, 2021

  • Appropriate for youth (i.e., less than 18)
Opportunity Description:

WILD Outside is a national conservation-based youth leadership program designed for youth ages 15 to 18. By participating in this immersive program, young Canadians will experience opportunities for personal growth while developing and encouraging their own “conservation ethic”. Learning from CWF facilitators alongside their peers, youth who join the WILD Outside program will connect with other local participants in the planning and delivery of community-based action projects in their own community.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have moved all of our programming online. We are offering online webinars and activities that are conservation and environment focused. Once restrictions are lifted, we will be returning to our planned two activities per month, with appropriate social distancing and safety measures.
