FOCUS

Daffodil Site Coordinator (Contactless Donations)

WHY WE NEED YOU

At CCS, fundraising volunteers are vital because the vast majority of our funding comes from donations by everyday Canadians through fundraising activities and events.

Our annual Daffodil Campaign mobilizes Canadians from coast to coast, raising funds for work aimed at helping people live longer and improving the lives and experiences of those affected by cancer.

The Daffodil Site Coordinator will supervise a team of volunteers who will engage with the public to encourage donations through Tip Tap contactless payment devices. The Coordinator will help CCS staff organize shift volunteers.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Contact your team of Site Volunteers to confirm or organize shifts, and when necessary, assist with community-based recruitment to fill shifts

Ensure training of site volunteers has been completed

Confirm with site contact that Daffodil resources are in place for the Daffodil Site Volunteers

Be available during the duration of the campaign (approx 4-8 days depending on the community) to support site shift volunteers

COVID protocols will be in place in line with CCS policy
