Scouts Canada’s NL Council is seeking a Group Commissioner to take the helm of our 2nd Stephenville Group!
This position is generally administrative in nature and does not necessarily require a specific weekly commitment. This is ideal for people who have relatively flexible schedules and great verbal and electronic communication skills. There’s no requirement to regularly attend weekly Section meetings (Beavers, Cubs, etc.), however it is encouraged from time-to-time to ensure program quality. While experience with Scouts or Guides is an asset, it is not required for this position.
To ensure the success of our programs, we need the support of dedicated volunteers, just like you! You don’t even need to have kids in the program, just an interest in youth development and helping our groups succeed.
If you’re interested in starting your adventure with Scouts Canada, contact William Short at william.short@scouts.ca or call 709-687-2888.
