The Annual Holiday Wassail at George Street United Church is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 18, 2016!

The lineup (thus far) includes Dave Paddon, Rachel Cousins, Erin Best and Sandy Morris, the STEP Fiddlers, Nick Earle and Joseph Coffin, Dave Penny and our faithful resident mummers troupe, the Mummers and the Paupers! More to be added shortly!

You can follow the lineup additions on our Facebook event page.

The doors open at 1:30 p.m. and the Wassail runs from 2 to 4:30 pm with a short intermission and refreshments.

Kids 12 years and under are free when accompanied by an adult and tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. We don’t expect many to make it to the door. They usually don’t, so be advised!

Each ticket stub has an email signup that you can fill out (in advance) and be entered into a draw for two 2017 Folk Festival passes. We will also have a simple raffle at the event featuring a grab bag of gift certificates from local supporters, concert tickets, folk night passes and 2017 Festival passes!

Tickets are available at the NLFAS office at Suite 206 223 Duckworth between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday to Friday. That is the second floor of the building between Moksha Yoga and Bernard Stanley restaurant. Please feel free to call 576-8508 to ensure that someone will be here when you arrive as we may step out and miss you if you just show up.

And, we have them on sale at O’Brien’s Music Inc.! Cash only please.

This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one, the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap, the being a force of nature instead of a feverish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
