RESULTS Canada (RC) is a non-profit national grassroots advocacy organization. For more than 30 years, we have worked to create the political will to end global poverty and demonstrate that individuals can make a difference when they employ their political power. A central element of our work is educating citizens and decision-makers about key problems and solutions associated with extreme poverty.
Results Canada is a global movement of passionate everyday people committed to raising our voices for a world without extreme poverty. By taking advocacy action every month, we generate the political will to improve Canada's programs and policies that give people living in poverty the health, education and opportunity they need to thrive. Our volunteers operate in their own city with other local volunteers to engage with their federal Members of Parliament.
Scouts Canada is the country's leading youth organization. For more than 100 years, we have brought a world of adventure, outdoor experience and friendship to 17 million Canadian youth.
The Avalon Dragons is a non-profit organization of Breast Cancer Survivors, formed in 2006, as Dragon Boat Paddlers. We are the only team in North America to have built our own Dragon Boat and hold an Annual Paddling Festival each year with the Town of Paradise (at Octagon Pond) as our main fundraising event.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA) is the sole governing body in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador for the sport of Athletics. We organize events for Cross-Country, Track & Field, and Road Races for people of all ages and athletic abilities.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - NLAA NEEDS VOLUNTEERS FOR XC SERIES FOR SCHOOLS
Do you need volunteer hours, or an excuse to get out of the house on a Saturday morning? Volunteering with NLAA is a fun way to earn your volunteer hours, while learning new skills, meeting new friends, and giving back to the community. No previous experience necessary.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA) is the sole governing body in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador for the sport of Athletics. We organize events for Cross-Country, Track & Field, and Road Races for people of all ages and athletic abilities.

All of these events will take place at Bowring Park, St. John's, NL
- Saturday, September 23rd - Cross-Country Meet #1
- Saturday, September 30th - Cross-Country Meet #2
- Saturday, October 7th - Cross-Country Meet #3
- Saturday, October 28th - Cross-Country Championship
Some of the tasks volunteers are needed for include:
- Bib number pickup
- Course Set up/take down
- Marshaling
- Handing out medals
- Directing athletes/spectators entering the park towards the event
- Crowd Control
- Course sweeper - Following the last runner so one gets left behind

Football Newfoundland and Labrador (FNL) is the provincial governing body for all forms of football—tackle, touch, and flag—across Newfoundland and Labrador. Its mission is to foster the growth and development of football at all levels, from grassroots to high performance.
FNL's objectives, as outlined in its Constitution and Bylaws, include:
Youth Development: Providing an environment that supports the growth and development of football through regional co-ed youth programs.
Program Management: Managing and operating FNL and its regional youth leagues in a non-profit manner.
Provincial Oversight: Providing provincial oversight to affiliate leagues offering adult football programs.
Athlete Development: Developing football athletes, coaches, and referees throughout the province through the creation of a Long Term Athlete Development plan.
Policy Establishment: Establishing policies and procedures for the administration of football in the province.
Virtual CoSA provides online Circles of Support and Accountability to people who have sexually offended and are reintegrating into the community after incarceration.
Children's Language Acquisition Support System Inc. (CLASS) is a voluntary, non-profit organization that was established in 2018 to ensure families with children who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing (DHH) or non-speaking receive comprehensive information on all options of communication and language development. CLASS supports families with children from birth to 18 and commits to providing programs and services focusing on education and empowerment.

Breast Cancer Canada is a national charity dedicated to saving lives through breast cancer research. With a focus on precision oncology (personalized care), it is the only national breast cancer organization in Canada that has a clear mandate to raise money for research and advocate and educate on the progress of new research evidence.
Everyday, researchers are working hard to advance our understanding of this disease. To detect it. To treat it. We know research will deliver results. And with your support to raise more funds, a future with no more breast cancer is possible.
At Volunteer St. John's, we take pride in linking people with local nonprofit community organizations, supporting persons with disabilities, new Canadians, corporations and professionals connect to organizations in and around the city, helping individuals develop skills to advance their careers, and developing knowledge resources that support effective and efficient volunteer capacity.
The ACNL is a provincial organization committed to preventing the spread of HIV and Hepatitis C. ACNL works to support people living with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS or Hepatitis C. ACNL advocates for change while networking on a provincial, regional, national, and international level regarding HIV/AIDS and Hepatitus C issues. This is in order to ensure the individual and collective right to nonjudgmental education and support, thus encouraging responsible decision-making and personal empowerment.
