The 2026 St. John's/Mount Pearl MS Walk is taking place Sunday, May 31st at 10 AM at the Reid Community Centre. We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help us bring this event to life!MS Walk is a one-day event held at over 50 locations across Canada, bringing together people impacted by multiple sclerosis.On May 31st, gather your friends, family, and coworkers for a day of meaningful action! There are various areas where volunteer help is needed to ensure that this event runs smoothly and participants have a great experience.Volunteer opportunities include:Event Set-Up & Wrap-UpParticipant/Volunteer Check-InCheckpoint AttendantsFood & Beverage AreaRoute MarshalsStart/Finish Line Cheer Squad*Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. The Heather Cutler Foundation is a Canadian charity headquartered in Newfoundland and Labrador dedicated to improving survival and quality of life for people affected by pancreatic cancer.We are currently recruiting Event Support Volunteers to assist with upcoming digital and in-person initiatives. Volunteers will work closely with our Director of Events and Outreach to support event coordination, outreach tracking, and operational planning.This is a flexible, project-based role suitable for students or individuals interested in nonprofit work, public health, communications, or event management.Responsibilities may include:• Building and maintaining event and partner contact lists• Assisting with outreach coordination and tracking• Supporting social media and promotional materials• Organizing volunteer availability for events• Providing support during virtual or in-person events• Light administrative tracking and coordinationThis role typically requires approximately 4–6 hours per week, with short increases around event dates.
