Opportunity Description:

The afterschool program at Froude Avenue Community Centre runs from 3:00-5:30pm Monday to Friday. This is a great opportunity to build relationships with children grades k-7. Volunteers will help children with a number of items, such as homework, recreation, arts and crafts, and other activities. Volunteers also help supervise and participate with children at play as well as coming up with games or extra work to improve skills. Other tasks include preparing and/or distributing snack, tidying up the areas used during the program, recording program attendance and who had snack (as well as what they had), and when the child was picked up and by whom. Volunteers are provided with the opportunity to build relationships with children and parents while also having fun!
