The Janeway Auxiliary is actively recruiting dedicated individuals to volunteer in our Auxiliary Gift Shop at the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre in St. John’s. Our Gift Shop volunteers are important members of the Janeway community who provide a friendly face and cheerful customer service to clients, families, and staff. Visiting the Gift Shop is often an important tradition for Janeway clients, a special treat to help make their hospital visit a happy one.
Gift Shop shifts are available throughout the week, in the morning (9AM-12:30PM), afternoon (12:30-4PM) and evening (4-7PM). Our current need is primarily for daytime volunteers, Monday-Friday.
Training is provided. NL Health Services requires applicants to complete all screening requirements before they begin volunteering. This screening process is facilitated by the Coordinator, Volunteer Resources, an employee of NL Health Services.
