Opportunity Description:

Objective: The Individual Recruitment and Stewardship Coordinator manages all committee activity aimed at recruiting individuals to The Walk to Fight Arthritis. This includes developing strategies to re-engage past walkers, and to engage new individuals to the Walk. The Individual Recruitment and Stewardship Coordinator ensure that all registered walkers receive a welcome email and have the tools they need to fundraise successfully. Length of Involvement: Minimum four month commitment. Time Required: Attend committee meetings on a bi-weekly basis during event planning cycle. Frequency of meetings may increase in the months leading up to the Walk. Complete required activities between meetings. Attend the Walk. Responsibilities: Develop a plan to re-engage past walk participants that builds on national and divisional re-engagement activities. Provide timely follow up to groups that have been engaged by the Community Relations Coordinator. Create a communication plan for registered walkers that ensures walkers are communicated with on a regular basis leading up to the Walk. Work closely with the Walk manager to identify top individual fundraisers and recognize their success. Be aware of The Walk to Fight Arthritis Key Messages and use them for all communications. Attend all Walk meetings and ensure deliverables are complete. Recruit a team of walkers and set an aggressive fundraising goal. Orientation and Training: All committee members will receive an orientation to The Arthritis Society and The Walk to Fight Arthritis. Additional training will be provided as needed.
