Do you need volunteer hours, or an excuse to get out of the house on a Saturday morning? Volunteering with NLAA is a fun way to earn your volunteer hours, while learning new skills, meeting new people, and giving back to the community. No previous experience necessary.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Athletics Association (NLAA) is the sole governing body in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador for the sport of Athletics. We organize events for Cross-Country, Track & Field, and Road Races for people of all ages and athletic abilities.

All of these events will take place at Bowring Park, St. John’s, NL
Saturday, September 17th – Cross-Country Meet #1
Saturday, September 24th – Cross-Country Meet #2
Saturday, October 1st – Cross-Country Meet #3
Saturday, October 21st – Cross-Country Championship
Some of the tasks we need volunteers for are:
Bib number pickup
Course Set up/take down
Marshalling
Handing out medals
Directing athletes and spectators entering the park towards the course
Crowd Control
Course sweeper – Following the last runner so one gets left behind
