The Chalker Place Neighborhood Centre is a volunteer-run community organization affiliated with Vibrant Communities and Newfoundland and Labrador Housing. The purpose of the organization is to enhance the lives of families living in social housing in the community through the organization and delivery of programs and activities for community residents

Crohn's and Colitis Canada is a volunteer driven organization that raises money to fund research to find a cure for Crohn's Disease and Colitis. Crohn’s and Colitis Canada volunteers, in partnership with staff, are making a difference in the lives of children and adults living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Our coast-to-coast network of thousands of volunteers are leaders in their communities, using the gift of time and talents to help people with inflammatory bowel disease by providing professional skills, educating others, advocating for healthy public policy and helping to raise money so that Crohn’s and Colitis Canada can continue to fund critical research, patient programs, advocacy and awareness initiatives.

The St. John's Farmers' Market is run by a nonprofit co-operative of vendors and consumers who strive to create, maintain and support a weekly farmers' market and all that it represents. With over 100 vendors and growing, the SJFM is the ultimate farmers’ market experience for families, foodies, and everyone who’s looking for locally grown produce, specialty foods, ready-to-eat fare, arts and crafts, and so much more!

The St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival (SJIWFF) is one of the longest running women’s film festivals in the world. Established in 1989 with a bold vision of supporting and promoting the creative work of women in screen-based industries from around the world, the Festival has grown from a single evening of screenings to the province’s flagship film festival. Operating year-round, the SJIWFF is known for a diverse program of independent film screenings, high-calibre workshops and masterclasses, international film forums, hands-on youth filmmaking camps, career-accelerating mentorship programs and of course, advocacy work in the movement for gender diversity in our industry. Every year the Festival receives over 600 film submissions and from those we present a powerful program of international documentaries, short films and feature works for the signature five-day annual Festival. Respected nationally and internationally, the SJIWFF will celebrate its 30th annual Festival October 16-20, 2019 in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador. Festival week also features the [Interactive] Film Industry Forum, consisting of panels, workshops and face-to-face meetings for filmmakers, producers, and interactive creators. The Forum focuses on the business of filmmaking while the Festival celebrates international works by women. Our Mandate - Increase the exposure of new works written and / or directed by women. - Showcase the province to the Canadian and international film industry. - Increase the national and international profile of St. John’s and the province as a vibrant cultural site and place to do business. - Deliver programs to help develop the next generation of filmmakers. - Offer outreach programs, aimed at supporting local emerging filmmakers and growing local film audiences. - Facilitate interaction among filmmakers and between filmmakers and their audiences. - Provide local communities access to outstanding yet unfamiliar and limited-release works. - Produce a unique cultural event that highlights our filmmakers, our province and our industry. - Support the development of the local film community through promotion, exhibition, market access, professional development and training opportunities and grants.

Our foundation is focused on providing education regarding the importance of clean drinking water, it’s scarcity and educating the masses regarding plastic pollution caused by using plastic water bottles. It’s affects on the environment and our bodies long term. We offer practical solutions and ways to help clean up the mess and attitudes. We also donate the One World Filter product to those in areas that have contaminated water supplies. As well as for disaster relief. One World Filter uses a nano technology which filters through a gravity flow system requiring no electricity. It removes all bacteria, viruses, heavy metals, pesticides, micro plastics, parasites, and more, which can help prevent 1.3 million deaths related to drinking contaminated water yearly accounting to the UN.

Planned Parenthood - NLSHC is a non-profit charitable organization that promotes positive sexual health through education, community partnership, information and services within an environment that supports and respects individual choice. ​Our services are available to anyone regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, socioeconomic status, physical or mental ability, sexual orientation, religion, religious creed, national or social origin, martial status, family status and political opinion.

The East Coast Trail Association is a registered charity established to provide a wilderness hiking experience by developing and maintaining the East Coast Trail, promoting public access, minimizing its impact on the natural environment and protecting it for future generations.

The St. John’s International CircusFest premieres September 27-30, 2018, bringing the world of circus to Atlantic Canada. Hosted by the Wonderbolt Circus, this festival will feature top national and international circus performers and troupes, and will have visibility through a multitude of workshops, outreach projects, professional development sessions and of course incredible circus shows. There is something for everyone at CircusFest!

Founded in 2017, the Newfoundland & Labrador Beard & Moustache Club (NLBMC) is a non-profit dedicated to the betterment of our community through volunteering, charitable fundraising, and other community services.

The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is a nation-wide conservation organization. We protect important natural areas for the enjoyment and benefit of all Canadians. NCC protects approximately 13,500 acres of beautiful landscapes across Newfoundland and Labrador. We also work with communities to engage them on the land through volunteer work and outreach events.

Challenger Baseball is an adaptive baseball program designed to empower children and youth living with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. The program teaches children and youth the core life skills inherent to baseball, including: teamwork, communication, determination, resiliency, inclusion, support and courage. Challenger Baseball ensures every participant has the opportunity to play in a fun and safe environment where they learn to become more independent, build confidence and self-esteem, improve their communication skills, and set and achieve their own personal goals.
