Crohn's and Colitis Canada is a volunteer driven organization that raises money to fund research to find a cure for Crohn's Disease and Colitis.

Crohn’s and Colitis Canada volunteers, in partnership with staff, are making a difference in the lives of children and adults living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Our coast-to-coast network of thousands of volunteers are leaders in their communities, using the gift of time and talents to help people with inflammatory bowel disease by providing professional skills, educating others, advocating for healthy public policy and helping to raise money so that Crohn’s and Colitis Canada can continue to fund critical research, patient programs, advocacy and awareness initiatives.

Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is the only national, volunteer-based charity focused on finding the cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improving the lives of children and adults affected by these diseases.

We are one of the top two health charity funders of Crohn’s and colitis research in the world, investing over $140 million in research since 1974, leading to important breakthroughs in genetics, gut microbes, inflammation and cell repair as well as laying the groundwork for new and better treatments.

Every year, a special group of Cycle for Sight participants go above and beyond to support the Foundation Fighting Blindness and our mission to cure blindness. We call these people <strong>Cycle for Sight <em>Champions</em></strong>.

These high-energy fundraisers raise over $1500 each in support of vision research taking place at hospitals and universities across Canada, and are the backbone of our Cycle for Sight efforts!

DRAGis.ART exists to create more opportunities and support the 2SLGBTQTIA+ arts community in St. John's. DRAGis.ART also wants to create more safe spaces for the 2SLGBTQIA+ people of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Improving the quality of life for people with diabetes is at the heart of Diabetes Canada’s commitment to all Canadians diagnosed with this chronic health condition. That means connecting children and youth with type 1 diabetes through Diabetes Canada’s D-Camps; providing healthcare professionals and people with diabetes with expert information that improves their care and self-management; assisting researchers working on leading-edge treatments; and advocating on behalf of those with diabetes for equity, improved access to supplies and more.

It is the ECMA's mission to foster, develop, promote and celebrate East Coast music and its artists locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

We strive to succeed in our mission through the execution of our annual event (East Coast Music Week), educational sessions, trade missions and our International Export Program. We also partner with special industry organizations to offer additional opportunities to our artists.

The East Coast Trail Association is a registered charity established to provide a wilderness hiking experience by developing and maintaining the East Coast Trail, promoting public access, minimizing its impact on the natural environment and protecting it for future generations.

Easter Seals NL's Run, Walk, Stroll, and Roll: DASH FOR DONUTS is happening June 24th (June 25th is our backup rain date!) from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Bowring Park. Choose to run, walk, stroll or roll around the 2 KM loop or the 5 KM loop, and receive a donut at the finish line to celebrate! We will also have a BBQ and live entertainment during the event. There is a great need in our community for people like you to listen, believe, and support those affected by sexual violence. Our next training cycle begins January 30, 2024.

Our volunteer supporters become part of a dedicated group of people who provide an invaluable service to survivors of sexual violence all across Newfoundland and Labrador. Involvement with the ESVNL provides volunteer supporters the opportunity to gain experience, knowledge, and skills in many areas, including crisis intervention, advocacy, not-for-profit organizations, and a variety of issues related to sexual violence.

The trained individuals on our 24 hours crisis and support line are dedicated and passionate. Our volunteer supporters provide empathy, support, and trauma-informed responses for vulnerable individuals who need varying degrees of support. As part of this wonderful team not only will training be provided, but there is ongoing support and debriefing. Training is done virtually over zoom. This volunteer opportunity is flexible. Volunteers choose their own 4 hour shifts each month, and work from home.
