Peer Volunteers:

Individuals who have had a stroke or who have been impacted by stroke.

These individuals are well into their recovery post stroke, or they are a caregiver or family member of a person with stroke. Peer Volunteers have lived experience of stroke recovery and are able to offer firsthand knowledge during visits. The peer is there to listen and be a positive guide, answer questions, and share information based on personal experience.

Volunteers will be matched with one of our participants (stroke survivors) for virtual social activities. This is a great way to meet new people, explore mutual interests, enjoy good company, and above all have fun!

Both virtual and in person options available.
