Seeking Fundraising Volunteers for the Heart & Stroke Canvass!
The Heart & Stroke Canvass is a fundraising campaign that raises funds for research and shares life-saving health information with Canadians, through the help of 90,000 volunteers.
Heart disease and stroke takes a Canadian life every 7 minutes. We invite YOU to join the campaign to help protect the lives of our neighbours, friends and family.
Volunteer Role: CANVASSER
Location: Newfoundland and Labrador
Time Commitment: 3-6 hours during January and February
Responsibilities:
Connect with your neighbourhoods, coworkers, family and friends online or in person with an outreach kit. Ask for donations, as well as share health information and thank donors
Attend a training session in January
Return your outreach kit and donations in March
Skills/Attributes:
Enjoy interacting with people
Willing to ask for donations in person and / or online (with training)
Able to walk outdoors in February
Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Must be 18 years of age or older OR accompanied by an adult
