Group Guide for Outdoor Interactive Choral Concert

Organization: Choral Canada
Category: Special Events / Festivals
Description: We are seeking volunteers to help guide groups through an outdoor interactive choir concert/festival taking place on Canada Day. On July 1st, 2018, Choral Canada will be putting off an outdoor concert featuring 5 choirs from all over the country. These choirs will be scattered around Mt. Scio farm, located in St. John's. Additionally, there is a story-line depicted throughout the farm by the use of props and performers who act out the narrative/concept. Our volunteers would be asked to act as a tour guide as they lead groups of patrons throughout the farm to view the 5 choirs and witness the acting performers as they go. Additionally, volunteers may be asked to help direct people to the appropriate locations in the parking lot. Volunteers would receive free access to the event, as well as a volunteer identifying T-shirt, snacks, and the opportunity to witness an amazing show featuring some of the best choirs in Canada. Additionally, we can provide free (and optional) accessibility training to those who may be looking to fill school volunteer requirements, are seeking additional training for their resume, or who have a genuine interest in event management and working with people who have specific accessibility needs. This event is promised to be amazing, and will feature fantastic (interactive) compositions by Canadian composers. It's an excellent opportunity for people, of all ages, and musical interests to volunteer.
